We have had a fun week! My sister, her husband, and their son Addison were in town for the last week and we had a great time with them. Sean is doing awesome - smiling and giggling all the time and it so amazing! Here are some pictures of what we have been up to lately.

We celebrated Addison's 2nd birthday while they were over here. These are the cupcakes my sister and I made for the party. The next picture is of Addison dazed while enjoying his.

Sean

It is funny how every time I put the camera up to take a picture or film something cute Sean just totally freezes and stares blankly at the camera like he is thinking, "oh man, what happened to mom's face????" So here is a video of Ryan playing with Sean.

2 months

So Sean is now over two months old. . . he had his 2 month check up and well, our little boy isn't so little anymore! He weighed in at 11 lbs 13 oz and is now 23 inches long (his birth weight and height were 6 lbs 9 oz and 19 inches long). It is amazing how much he has changed in the last two months - he is now totally interactive. He smiles and laughs all the time and let me tell you if looks could kill. . . . I mean I know I am his mother but I am pretty sure he is one of the cutest babies ever!

Oh, and since there are so many pregnant ladies out there I thought I would share about the diapers we are using. Now that Sean is such a big boy he actually fits into the cloth diapers we got. They are bum genius cloth diapers but they are not the scary type that you have to fold and pin on. They are actually a shell that velcros and inserts that you stuff inside. We have been using them for a little while now and have been pleased. The ones we got are called the bum genius all in ones because they snap down for the little guys and can expand as they grow. So theoretically you don't have to buy different sizes of diapers as your baby grows. How great is that!!! Here is the link of the website I went through - their service was great: http://www.angelbunz.com/

Vacation

We just got home from Kyler Family Vacation 2007!!!! We took quite the trek out to Montana to visit my sister and her family and the up North to Canada to see Ryan's parents. Sean had such a great time hanging out with all his family members and they were all so sad to see him leave. Here are some pictures from our trip:
Sean spent some good quality time with Grandma and Grandpa Kyler

here is Sean hanging out with his Great Aunt Suzie and cousin Rylan

Already riding horses! This one, Shake, is saved for Sean when he gets older

All the horses were interested in the little guy

Sean also got to spend some time with Aunt Kristi, Uncle Bart and Cousin Addison. He and Addison had a lot of fun hanging out:

Reflection

As Sean and I were on our walk today, and I was cradling my "belly" as I used to do when I was pregnant I started to remember what it was like and how I was feeling a few months ago. I loved being pregnant and remember feeling like I did not want it to end. Partially because I was scared about not knowing how to be a mom, but also in realizing how much things change. I really enjoy being able to go grab coffee with a friend on a whim or run to the grocery store if I forgot something for dinner. I knew these things would not be easy once the baby was here.
As I continued to walk however I realized that all those fears and anxieties disappeared the moment Sean was placed in my arms. I still want to go to coffee with my girlfriends, and miss the luxury of jotting out to the store, and I admit I have no idea what I am doing as a mom, but there has never been even a second since Sean's arrival that I wished I could go back to the way things were. I consider myself truly truly blessed to get to experience this new life.

We love this boy!

Isn't it amazing how much Sean has changed already? I mean check out those cheeks! It is crazy how much he has grown and developed into a little person in these last 40 days. We are having fun taking walks, visiting friends, hanging out, reading, etc. We love this boy!!!!!!!

One Month Old

Sean is one whole month old! It has gone by so fast, but it is already so hard to remember life without him. We are so in love with this little guy and are excited to fall even more in love in the months to come. He has changed so much in the last 30 days - he is already up to 8 pounds from the 6 lbs 3 oz he was after birth. He has grown out of almost all the premie clothes and is starting to fit into a few 0-3month things! Our boy is growing up! Here are some pictures of him around his one month birthday:

Barbeque with the family: Dad, Uncle Tim, Grandma, and Grandpa

Sean loves his grandparents!!!

Here is Sean reading his favorite book. We think he is pretty much the smartest baby ever.
