Yesterday was beautiful, so we took full advantage of Sean's awake time and went all over town - to the locks, the beach, the local lake/wading pool. Here are a few shots:

It was actually pretty hilarious - as Ryan and Sean were walking towards the (cold) water, Sean started signing bath (cirular motion with both fists on the chest) and getting all excited. He thought it was one big bathtub! What a shock when that water hit his little toes - there was no way he was taking a bath in that!

Mmmmm french toast and blueberries
For those friends and family who have not been able to see this in person yet:

Does this mean I have to stop calling him our little baby?

what day is it???

I love that during the summer I sometimes don't even know what day of the week it is. And summer officially started for me yesterday at 10:40 when my last biology class walked out my classroom door. by 11:30 grades were in, the classroom was cleaned and packed away, and I was itching to get home and feed my little guy lunch & spend the rest of the day with him. It was such a nice day we ate quick then jotted down to one of the local running paths and had a little jog followed by a long play time at the play ground.
This play ground had these great chair swing that Sean loved - he will literally spend 30 minutes just swining and watching all the kids run around. The chairs were big enough so that after I got tired of pushing, I just hopped in and held Sean on my lap and we swung away . . . . . Ahhhhhh, summer!

zoo date

Mandy and I took the kiddies to the zoo over the weekend - I actually forgot to take any pictures inside the zoo, but here we are afterward swinging! They both loved it, and loved watching the big kids get underdogs. It was pretty cute!

I can just hear both of them going "whoa!" as the kid next to them goes flying up in the air :)

Low Tide

Yesterday was the lowest tide we have had in over 4 years. So since I had the day off Sean and I went down to the beach at low tide (along with every elementary school in the area). It was lots of fun, we saw some great things . . . so cool to look at what is normally under water . . . . but then again I am a science nerd. Here are a few pics from our outing:

there and back

Last weekend Ryan performed a wedding for our sister-in-law's brother (our brother-in-law???). It was fun, but rushed. The wedding was about 5 hours from where we live (hence the rushed part), but made for a fun weekend get-away for us. Here are a few pics of the wedding site and the next day at a park. It was fun to take Sean to this park as my family lived in this town when I was about Sean's age, and lived just down the street from this park - it was neat to experience it again as a parent and think of how much my parents enjoyed this place with my sister and I (Tim was not born yet). Hope you all are well!
